This sewing workshop is a great and fun way to introduce you to sewing. The idea is to make a simple and fun project. After making the basic shape there will be time to personalise your work. Think of embellishing it with fabric, ribbons, stitch, handmade flowers, etc.
You will be learning hand sewing skills as well as gaining confidence and know how in using the sewing machine. All in a fun and easy going manner to enjoy the making process.
On Monday you will be making your own hot water bottle cover inspired by an animal, scenery or an all over pattern. See ideas below made by others to get inspired. You are always welcome to bring your own ideas or base your design on something at the Sewing Shed.
On Tuesday we will continue with this theme and make the actual creature or a different animal in a 3-D form using fabrics and all sorts embellishments. This could be totally your own design or an existing idea.
