Ever wanted to make or alter your own clothes or home soft furnishings? This is a friendly group at which you get individual tuition, help and guidance along the way. All abilities are welcome on this course, which offers all aspects of sewing:- designing, choosing fabrics and styles, mending and altering, understanding commercial patterns, measuring for pattern size, cutting out and garment construction.
Find inspiration while learning basic principles and professional finishing techniques to create great fitting original clothes, no matter your shape, size, style or experience. A group makes the experience enjoyable while ensuring that you get the individual guidance and advice you need to produce garments of your choice.
This is a group of like minded people that is meeting ones a week at the Sewing Shed in Stroud. Interested? Come for a trial session. I am also happy to discuss ideas for projects to get you started and of course help you along the way.
There are sewing machines and other equipment for you to use. Coffee and tea included.
