Teen sewing classes

For anyone ages 10+ who has an interest in sewing, whether you are a complete beginner or have experience sewing.

Teen summer sewing

Learn to sew and make your own tote bag, or if you are already familiar with the sewing machine; learn to make your own clothes.

Basic sewing skills essential.

Term 2:Â 4 November – 16 December. Morning/ afternoon sessions. 7 weeks.

Get to know your overlocker for beginners.
£60.00Select options This product has multiple variants. The options may be chosen on the product pageGet as much benefit out of using your overlocker as possible. We will cover things like: how to rethread the EASY way, adjust tension, stitch length and blade position, sew corners and round edges.

At the Sewing Shed,
We work in small groups so there is enough time to ask questions, discuss individual needs and explore design possibilities. You will be closely guided throughout the process of creating your product.
There are a wide variety of courses on offer which are suitable for varied abilities and different interests. So you could be working on a textile art piece focussing on structure, colour and composition, creating your child's wardrobe or up-cycling a beloved jumper or other garment..

My love for sewing and making was there right from the word go. As a child I used to go every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon to my aunt. Her 2 grown up kids were hardly there as opposed to my family where there were another 5 siblings and a busy family business which was run from our home. So I loved the quiet and calm atmosphere at my aunts house.​
